Sound Storm

Sound Storm was founded in 2002 in Turin, a city in the north west of Italy.The band started composing their own material, with the first three or four tracks finished by the end of 2003.

In October of 2005 the band decided to record six original songs in their own private studio, which resulted in the release of the demo “The Storm Is Coming”.

In September 2006 Sound Storm entered again the recording studio to record the new Ep, “Northern Wilderness”.
The new self-produced Ep was released on the 1st of February 2007.

During the year 2008 the band spent a lot of time to compose, arrange and rehearse the first full length. The results is Sound Storm’s debut album, entitled “Twilight Opera” which has got an incredible high quality production, strings section, a 9-pieces choir.
The album has been mastered at Finnvox Studios by Mika Jussila and released by Rising Records.

On August 30th Sound Storm celebrates the release of the album with a live show at “Ilha Do Ermal” festival, the biggest metal fest in Portugal, with bands such as Blind Guardian, Angra, Sepultura, Korpiklaani, Firewind and many more.

In summer 2010 Sound Storm toured Mexico for the first time: the band played 11 gigs across the country getting and incredible success and many hundreds people were attending each show.

In 2012 Sound Storm have signed a worldwide deal with Scarlet Records for the release of their new album ‘Immortalia’.

Over the years the band have developed a very personal blend of Heavy Metal mixed with a theatrical sense of drama, which was internationally recognised with the release of their critically acclaimed debut ‘Twilight Opera’.

This new chapter marks another important milestone for the band, mixing their wide range of influences in a piece of work perfectly balanced between powerful guitars, magnificent symphonic choirs, gothic atmospheres and baroque melodies, which is definitely worth listening to.

Recorded, mixed and mastered at Metal House Studio by Ettore Rigotti (Disarmonia Mundi), ‘Immortalia’ is a stunning concept album on the quest for eternal life, an amazing journey through literature, poetry and history, a collection of songs linked together by the common theme of the immortality of the soul. The evocative artwork was handled by Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian, Rhapsody Of Fire). ‘Immortalia’ will be released August 28th, 2012.

Shortly after the band will support Norwegian Gothic Metal veterans Tristania on their new European tour, starting September 13th.

Nightland

I Nightland si formano a Pesaro nel 2006 per volontà del cantante e chitarrista Ludovico Cioffi, a cui negli anni si aggiungono svariati musicisti, prima di arrivare alla formazione attuale formata da Filippo Scrima (Guitar), Francesco Ambrogiani (Tastiere), Brendan Paolini (Basso) e Filippo Cicoria (Batteria).

Molto attivi sul fronte live e musicalmente recettivi nei confronti delle produzioni contemporanee di stampo sinfonico, death, folk e viking, i cinque si propongono di combinare queste influenze con un cantato scream/growl alternato da cori epici e potenti. Cosi dopo un primo ep intitolato “Knights of the Dark Empire” (2011), nel 2012 è la volta di “In Solemn Rise”, ep di 5 tracce da cui viene estratto come singolo/video “Diamond Siren”, ulteriore passo in avanti che porta la band ad un intensa attività live (aprendo per Suff ocation, Cephalic Carnage, Vision Divine, Ancient Bards, Havok, Eyeconoclast), impreziosita da elementi scenografici che diventeranno una costante nel corso delle esibizioni successive.

A fine 2013, i Nightland entrano in studio per iniziare a lavorare sul primo full lenght album intitolato “Obsession” che rappresenta un nuovo entusiasmante capitolo nella loro carriera assumendo nuove sfumature stilistiche. La stessa definizione di “Epic Death Metal” inizia ad assumere contorni meno definiti e più ampi, il sound si fa più aggressivo, vengono quasi totalmente abbandonati i riff di tastiera evocativi del power anni ’90 per dare spazio a potenti orchestrazioni e cori sinfonici. Anche i contenuti si fanno più cupi, le tematiche sono drammatiche, a tratti inquietanti, messe in risalto da numerose digressioni atmosferiche a sostegno del concept che si cela dietro ad “Obsession”: una profonda analisi sugli aspetti più crudeli dell’instabilità mentale dell’uomo, derivata da ossessioni, paranoie e fobie.

Metatrone

Metatrone is a Christian power-prog metal band formed by musicians coming from many previous musical experiences, mostly involved in metal music. Davide Bruno, Jo Lombardo, Tony Zappa, Virgilio Ragazzi and Stefano “Ghigas” Calvagno formed the band in 1997 under the monicker of Metafora producing with Track Records Productions (TRP) a four track Ep called “Reazioni e Memorie”, featuring some amazing anthems like “Una Parte di Me”.

As many things in life changes, it was four years later (2001) that one of the founding members, keyboardist Davide Bruno decided to begin a new spiritual journey bringing him to change completely his life becoming a Priest. After this important decision, another one will be essential: Metafora decided to change their monicker as METATRONE from that moment on. The new band’s name means “God is since now and forever”, consequently the band begins to write power-prog metal songs deeply inspired by a Christian Catholic view of life and human being. It was in 2005 when they produced with the help of TRP music their first album called “La Mano Potente” soon followed by the english version called “The Powerful Hand” distributed by Scarlet Records in Europe and King Records in Asia.

After its release, the band begins to play often live in Italy and around the world as well, playing at festivals like Elements of Rock twice, Tumbalong Park and World Youth Day in Australia just to name a few.

As many time happens, they toured a lot but immediately after they began to write new songs which bring them to a new and highest musical and lyrical level, songs were more influenced by prog but powerful at the same time. Most of that songs will be released on their third studio album, “Paradigma”. The new stunning 13 tracks album was produced by the band and TRP Music, officially released on 25 december 2010: the album features songs sang in english, italian, latin and spanish with some interesting growling vocal choruses performed by priest Davide himself getting very good reviews on the most popular metal magazines like Metal Hammer Italy, Metal Maniac and many other on-line magazines.

On May 2012 the band released their first videoclip, “In Spe Resurrectionis” from “Paradigma” (winning also the David Award as best italian song at V Premios David) while on june 2013 the band released a single track called “Heavenly Field” written against the Zionist policy supporting Gaza population at the time featuring italian hip hop band One Crew as special guest on vocals.

The band now is working at the new album release with a different line up: Tony Zappa and Virgilio Ragazzi has been now replaced by Dino Fiorenza on bass (Billy Sheehan, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, John Macaluso) and Salvo “T-Metal” Grasso on drums (Hypersonic, DenieD).

In 2015 Metatrone entered in the studio to record their third full-length album “Eucharismetal”. In November “Latest News From Light” has been released as video (http://bit.ly/METATRONE_LatestNews) first anticipation from the new album, to be released MARCH 11TH, 2016 by ROCKSHOTS. Along the new album will be re-released new versions of “The Powerful Hand” (remastered) and “Paradigma” with bonus tracks. Eucharismetal brought the band’s music on a wider audience with Christian Metal’s festivals appearance in Europe and live gigs in Italy, with a triumphant concert in September 2016 at The Teatro Romano in Verona. In Febraury 2017 the band released the second single/video from EUCHARISMETAL “Molokai” (https://youtu.be/YHD6w4ewPM0), but it’s right along the past years the something was changing again. It was after a very long internal discernment, just like it started it all, that Davide made the decision to keep serving the Lord and the Catholic Church in the laical form, giving up to practise as a priest. Anyway the artistic mission with Metatrone is still on the run!

Cinnamun Beloved

La banda comienza a principios de 2011, como idea de la cantante y tecladista Sabrina Filipcic Holm luego de su desvinculación con su anterior banda, de la cual también fue compositora y miembro fundador. La necesidad de explorar nuevos horizontes sin abandonar la esencia de su arte la llevo a rodearse de nueva gente para sacar lo que sería el primer disco de su nueva banda Cinnamun Beloved. Bajo la producción artística de la propia Sabrina, el baterista Jorge Perini (ex Barilari, Jerikó, Magika, etc.) y el tecladista Guillermo De Medio (productor de Barilari, tecladista de Enlighted y Ariadna Prodject, entre otros), "The Weird Moment" nació en un marco de lujo y listo para conquistar los sentidos de una escena siempre proclive a reconocer el talento y las condiciones excepcionales de una propuesta. Además de los ya mencionados Perini y De Medio, fueron de la partida el bajista Marcelo Bracalente (Jerikó), los guitarristas Juan Pablo Kilberg (ex Renacer, Magika, etc.) y Rodrigo Gudiña (Enligthed, Ariadna Project, entre otros), y no puede soslayarse la colaboración especial del cantante Diego Valdez (Helker, y un largo etcétera). En semejante contexto, la garganta a la vez cálida y lírica de Sabrina (algunos reconocerán el apellido Filipcic Holm asociado a la ópera por su hermana Carla, la soprano) encuentra sus matices más sensibles y se desenvuelve con la misma solvencia en cortes tan dispares como el electrónico "Never Asleep" el agresivo y melódico "Distant Memories", la soñadora balada "Leaving Myself" y la parafernalia gótica presente en "Hysterical".

Luego del lanzamiwento de The Weird Moment", la banda quedó conformada por Sabrina Filipcic Holm en voces, Rodrigo Gudiña en guitarras, Jorge Perini en baterñia, y Marcelo Bracalente en bajo. Dicha formación se presentó en vivo a lo largo del 2012 en diferentes escenarios de Buenos Aires, destacándose la presenación oficial del disco en The Roxy y la fecha en el Teatro Flores como únicos teloneros de los holandeses Epica. En los primeros meses del 2013 Cinnamun Beloved edita su primer DVD titulado "The Live Moments", el cual compila imagenes de varias presentaciones de 2012, incluyendo la participación de Adrián Barilari como invitado especial. Durante el 2013 y 2014 la banda siguió presentándose en diferentes escenarios de Buenos Aires. A principios del 2015 por razones personales y musicales Sabrina Filipcic Holmdecide separarse de su antigua formación y comienza a componer lo que sería su segundo disco. En la actualidad la banda se compone por Sabrina Filipcic Holm en voces, Leonardo Lukaszewics en guitarras, Alejandro Guimaraes en bajo, Germán Esquerda en teclados y Matías Sala en batería. La banda actualmente se encuentra grabando y produciendo su segundo disco “Stain” (con matices góticos e incorporando elementos del power metal) , del cual ya se puede ver en YouTube el primer video oficial de la balada "I dont Wanna be", temas más poderosos como “Another Day”, “Ride the Night” y “So Far”. La banda gana en 2017 el concurso para telonear a la banda Sirenia y queda en el top ten de los más votados para telonear a Evanescence.
